Westmoreland Coal Company, Canada currently has a position available for a full time, permanent Maintenance Planner - New Grad at the Estevan Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for the implementation of the physical asset management strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Administering maintenance routines and schedules;  
- Keeping maintenance records;
- Tracking maintenance key performance indicators;
- Assisting with project planning, estimating, scope definition and cost tracking;
- Sourcing, ordering and expediting equipment parts;
- Participating in planning and scheduling meetings;
- Reviewing outstanding maintenance work orders;
- Organizing and arranging contract services;
- Tracking equipment usage;
- Coordinating equipment downtime with production requirements;
- Supporting condition monitoring program;
- Entering data in Computerized Maintenance Management System; and
- Assuming other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have graduated with a Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering Degree or Technologist Diploma in the past 12 months, or be graduating in 2018;
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel;
- Have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude;  
- Demonstrate ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and sudden or frequent changes in priority; and
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

It would be considered an asset to have:
- Mining and/or industrial summer, coop or internship experience
