Description

Purpose:
This specific role will be accountable for Database Query Performance and Tuning.  As an Junior or Intermediate member of the team you will be accountable for analyzing and optimizing queries and liaising with development teams.  Looking for someone to cover periods of weekend daytime work as well as a member of an on-call rotation.
Accountabilities:
    Troubleshooting live database stored procedures, SQL and code issues.
    Reviewing, creating and modifying indexes as necessary.
    Fixing data integrity issues or assigning the issue to another team member as necessary.
    Create, modify and maintain reference documentation on useful T-SQL coding tips and tricks.
    Develop scripts and tools to help create great experiences for our clients and co-workers by automating or simplifying manual tasks.
    Provide insight to developers on database coding best practices.
    Offer database architecture suggestions to teams when appropriate.
    Aid in the development of stored procedures.
    On call rotation required.

Qualifications:
    2  5 years of experience with SQL Server.
    Able to read and write T-SQL.
    Basic understanding of SQL query tuning.
    An educational background in computer science or software engineering is an asset.
    Familiarity with software release cycles is an asset.
    Experience with MongoDB is an asset.
    Experience with C#/.NET is an asset.
