Birch Creek Farms is a progressive grain, pulse, oilseed and specialty crop producer located in Wadena, Saskatchewan. Key to our past and future success is our focus on attracting and retaining the best employees who will grow and prosper with us. We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal General Farm Worker to join our team for 2018 agricultural season.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Min 2 to 3 years of hands on farming experience within the past 5 years
Experience working on grain farm is preferred
Experience operating modern farming equipment
Must be familiar with auto-steer, GPS and on-board computer systems
Must be mechanically inclined
Drivers Class 5 license is required to get around in the area
Understanding of long farm hours during high season
Responsibilities:
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operate farming equipment (combines, air seeders, sprayers, swathers)
Maintain farm machinery and equipment
General farm labour
Perform other duties as need arises
