Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-     Diagnose, repair and complete service on customer vehicles as directed by work orders and the mechanical inspection form using computerized diagnostic equipment.
-    Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturers specifications.
-    Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
-     Advise customers and customer-facing Associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
-    Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.  
-    Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
-     Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries.
-    Assist in inventory management.  
-    Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire.
-    Special projects and other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
-    Expert knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service.
-    A customer service approach with the ability to complete mechanical service.
-     Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-    Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
-    Ability to maintain a valid drivers license and provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract
-    Basic computer skills to successfully complete required learning and safety courses
-    Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-    Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program. Interprovincial Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
