Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading merchandiser and trader in the international commodities market. Our canola crushing plant in Yorkton, SK has an opening for a Crush Production Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of food industry experience, preferably in the edible oilseed business.
The Crush Production Supervisor is responsible for:
* Monitoring operations and supervising production staff in their assigned areas.
* Ensure safe and reliable plant operations all times in our Crush Plant
* Accountable for the production, safety and quality performance of the team.
* Plan the daily activities of production staff and issue work assignments accordingly.
* Maintain proper coverage by managing production staffing schedules.
* Coordinates and leads production startups, shutdowns and changeovers.
*Complete regular checks of staff and equipment throughout the shift to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and Company quality standards are met.
* Responds to production issues or alarms and leads investigations as necessary.
* Assures that production employees work safely and follow established safety procedures. *Assures that established environmental procedures are followed and recordkeeping requirements are met.
