Description

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Completed post-secondary degree, certificate or diploma in science, education, veterinary technology, combined with related experience and/or training in interpretation, and/or science communication.
  Preference will be given to those who have education in animal care and/or environmental science.
Experience working with animals in a formal animal care capacity.
Preference will be given to those who have education in animal care and/or environmental science.
Clearly explain experience related animal care in resume/cover letter  This may include volunteer work, prior work experience etc.
A passion for working with animals  ideally in a formal setting however a combination of formal and informal will be considered.
Applicant will need to have or be willing to get rabies vaccination.  
Experience teaching or instructing a variety of age levels in formal or informal learning environment.
Proven leadership skills and experience in training, mentoring, or coaching employees.
Curiosity and a keen interest in science and science literacy.
Strong verbal communications skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
A positive attitude with a high level of customer relations skills.
Training in First Aid/CPR, OH&S and WHMIS would be considered an asset.
