Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of the Health program & service delivery & the management of various teams.  He/She is responsible for the management of the following programs and services: Justice, Youth, Sport and Recreation and the Awasis Nikan Youth Center. He/she is a proven leader with a successful track record in health delivery, experience in program management at the First Nation level and has the ability to collaborate strategically with other departments and stakeholders to ensure community members receive the highest quality of care and service delivery.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the Health Canada funding agreement
Responsible for program planning, administration, reporting & implementation
In collaboration with staff, provide direction and coordination for health education & facilitation to community members in respective areas;
Work cooperatively with regional, provincial and national agencies to ensure improvements are made to the Health Care system
Lead & manage the Health staff (in collaboration with the Director of Operations) on hiring, training, development & performance management
Other related duties.

Qualifications
Post-secondary Degree in Administration, Public Health or related area or a combination of experience & education will be considered
First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
Valid Driver's Licence
Clear Criminal Records Check (CPIC)
Strong computer literacy and skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to think critically and possess strong facilitation and presentation skills, time management
Commitment to health promotion, health prevention and community development with a focus on holistic health
Professionalism and Confidentiality
Previous work experience in a First Nation Community
Ability to speak and/or understand the Cree language and the Cree culture
Training and/or Certification in any Complimentary Therapies
