As an Assistant Lifeguard & /or Assistant Instructor of the Aquatic Centre, reporting to the Head Lifeguard, you are energetic, looking to become a certified Lifeguard &/or Instructor and are willing to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. You will be paired with a certified lifeguard &/or Instructor in order to learn the skills and challenges associated with the position and assist them with life guarding/instruction duties-patron safety while in the pool and on land, attend all designated in-service training, complete all required reports, maintain accurate attendance information, maintain the equipment inventory, be compliant with the Aquatic Safety Plan, perform regular maintenance/cleaning/pool chemistry tests and adhere/enforce all pool policies/procedures.
The work schedule will include days, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications: Must be 14 years of age. Required-
Bronze Cross or Assistant Red Cross Lifeguard &/or completion of Red Cross or RLS swim levels including
Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED
