PBN is an Aboriginal owned & operated company. PBN is hiring 2 HEAVY DUTY MECHANICS. These positions will be located in northern Saskatchewan with a rotational schedule. Flexibility in travelling to work sites & Pinehouse will be required.
Reporting directly to the Site Superintendent, the HD Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, repairing equipment, as well as demonstrating continuous effort to improve efficiencies & decrease turnaround.
Responsibilities
-Comprehensive understanding of diesel powered automobiles & CAT brand & equipment (rock trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, skidsteers & telehandlers)
-Repair, overhaul, maintain & service equipment in a fast paced, outdoor environment
-Operate the service truck in a safe manner, including proper storage, cleaning & maintenance
-Coordinate necessary maintenance scheduling & repairs
-Complete daily safety & maintenance checks, including completion of maintenance paperwork & reports
-Daily adherence to equipment cleaning & storage procedures
-Mentor PBN employees to ensure OH&S policies, industry standards & client quality standards are adhered to
Skills & Abilities
-Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certification
-A minimum of 5 years civil industry experience
-Certification in WHMIS, Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate; Fire Extinguisher & SCOT
-Certification for hoisting on service truck
-PME, HD Equipment Operator Certification, OH&S Level 1 & 2 considered an asset
-Class 3 drivers license
-Dedication to work place safety & adhering to industry standards
-Extensive knowledge of computer software applications
-A strong commitment to capacity building & knowledge transfer
This is a safety sensitive position & as such will require the successful incumbent to pass pre-access/fit for duty testing.
