The Food Centre is looking for an individual seeking a unique opportunity to work in a diversified food processing setting. This position is primarily responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of the HACCP system and all other food safety programs.
Main duties include:
*Working closely with CFIA and all other regulatory and certification bodies to ensure clear communication and adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
*Development, implementation and monitoring of the HACCP system, quality assurance program and all other food safety programs.
*Training staff in all areas of food safety and quality requirements.
*Ensuring compliance to all written programs and regulations through management of the food safety and quality programs.
Skills and Experience:
*Experience with HACCP, Quality Assurance, GMPs and SOP development is considered an asset.
*Qualified candidates must have experience with Microsoft Suite.
*Education or training in Food Science, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology or related fields is considered an asset.
*Superior written and verbal communication skills.
*Experience working in a federally registered food processing environment.
