Description

The RCMP Heritage Centre is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Associate.  The Heritage Centre is open 7 days per week therefore the ability to work weekends on a flexible schedule is required.  The position is permanent with an average of 20 - 30 hours/week over various shifts and will commence as soon as possible.  Strong preference will be given to candidates bilingual in French and English  

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Assist with all aspects of the day to day functions of the retail store including, processing purchases, receiving merchandise accurately and re-stocking and pricing inventory, ensure till floats are counted in and out accurately.
Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple, concurrent priorities in a fast paced environment
Clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office  as well as experience working within an accounting software program
High degree of professionalism and integrity with an exemplary customer service focus
Demonstrated strength in achieving targets and meeting deadlines
Demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with others, yet also able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain an unimpeachable standard of integrity in all business relationships and maintain the confidentiality of information
Some retail experience is preferred


Requirements:
Grade 12

The RCMP Heritage Centre is a national cultural facility that celebrates the remarkable history of Canada's premier national police force.  As such, knowledge of the history of the RCMP would be a positive asset.
