Description

Gee Bee Construction is an earthmoving construction company located in Kipling, Saskatchewan. A secondary office and shop is located in Regina, Saskatchewan and it has mobile satellite locations throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. With an extensive fleet of late-model Caterpillar and Hitachi equipment, Gee Bee Constructions expertise is found in a diverse range of projects. These include large contract jobs involving trenching, grading, gravelling, earthmoving and demolition. The majority of this work consists of lagoon construction, subdivision expansion, site construction, highway repair, pipeline maintenance, water and sewer installation, and contaminated soil reclamation.

We have an immediate opportunity in the capacity of Service Manager in our Kipling location.  This position will oversee the service and parts departments and is responsible for the reputation, efficiency and expenses of the department.  

Major duties will include creating and maintaining positive relations with customers, suppliers and employees and minimizing delays as a result of equipment problems.  A focus on improving efficiency and productivity, while striving to reduce costs and develop good purchasing and inventory habits and procedures.  Train, motivate, coach and mentor service department staff.  Ensure proper administrative and safety records are maintained, organize and schedule shop cleaning, ensure safety policies are adhered to, scheduling service personnel.

Knowledge required is vocational training in automobile and/or heavy equipment maintenance and repair, experience operating a service department, parts experience.  Post secondary business training and/or business experience in the automotive or heavy equipment.  As well, knowledge of Electronic GPS and Electronic equipment monitoring, proficiency with electronic inventory and service management systems would be an asset.
