Qualifications
Strong public relations skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with senior members of the administrative team, and capable of fostering and maintaining effective working relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills in Microsoft programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Word and Excel, and email.
Excellent attention to detail.
Dedicated to ongoing learning and professional development.
Able to work flexible office hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
A driver's license is preferred but not essential.

Duties
Customer Service - assisting clients with restaurant, activity and lodging suggestions; developing maps for travellers, offering information on road conditions and assist with campground bookings.
Development of Travel and Activity packages - researching and connecting with local businesses to develop and maintain up to date information on visitor experience opportunities. Packages are designed to offer locals and visitors with day trips and experiences within the locality and region.
Major Local Events - assist Recreation Manager in planning and facilitating any large community events (i.e.. Canada Day) that attract visitors and promote the community.
Partnerships - work in partnership with the Recreation Manager, Inn Keepers and Hospitality Association, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Kindersley Association, Kindersley & District Plains Museum, and cultural community to respond to local visitors needs and enhance the overall experiences.
Work closely with Tourism Saskatchewan to promote local, regional and provincial attractions and destinations, and to help them deliver their program and services.
Kindersley and District Plains Museum - assist volunteers when possible with things like display development, producing brochures, etc.
