HARDWARE MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Executing efficient buying, inventory and productivity management and pricing strategies to achieve optimum sales and margin
- Encouraging a strong workplace culture, business development, customer contact, and brand initiatives
- Maintaining health and safety programs and asset protection
- Effectively implementing merchandising and signage programs
- Developing and achieving operating plans and budgets
- Staff development through the talent management process including areas such as hiring, training, and performance management
- Maintaining Discovery Co-ops vision and values
- Working co-operatively with other departments and suppliers
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to lead, organize, motivate and develop a strong workplace culture
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with planning, budgeting and operating statements
- Knowledge about the industry and business trends
- Prior experience managing in a retail environment
