Description

Regina medical office looking for an experienced medical receptionist/assistant. You will provide administrative support in a busy office and will work closely with the physician. The work environment can be hectic at times but also fun. This position involves working regular office hours; Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. There is some flexibility in the working hours. This is a full time position; however for the right person part-time could be a possible option.

Tasks & Responsibilities

    Scheduling appointments with patients as directed.
    Answering incoming calls, determining urgency and taking detailed messages.
    Ensuring timely follow up action is taken by medical staff in response to calls.
    Following up with patients for scheduled appointments.
    Registering patients, collecting health information and medication.
    EMR scanning and filing to patient charts.
    Assigning patients to exam rooms & taking blood pressure (automated).
    Patient billing & remittance with MCIB.
    Coordinating clinic and other appointments for physician.
    Coordinating appointments and tests as requested.

Qualifications & Experience

    Must have previous experience working with an EMR, preferably Accuro.
    Experience dealing with patients, doctors and pharmacists is a definite asset.
      Medical terminology is an asset but not required.
