David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a major brand agricultural equipment dealership located in Wynyard SK, to recruit for an experienced Service Manager.
Reporting to the Regional Services Manager the Service Manager will be responsible for oversight of all service department operations, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction and coordinating and directing the activities of Service Writers and Service Technicians.
The Role:
Lead business development and sales initiatives while supporting the growth and profitability of the departments service deliverables
Manage all service department staff and strategically assign work-orders to service technicians in accordance with their skill set, knowledge level and technical specialty
Review and evaluate work-orders for completeness and accuracy
Manage all recruitment, staffing, performance and employee development initiatives in partnership with Human Resources
Develop and implement service department performance goals in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives
Monitor and measure service sales against targeted monthly profit goals
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years of successful management/supervisory experience achieved in an industry relevant work environment
Preference for candidates with agricultural equipment product knowledge achieved through considerable years of hands on experience or via completion of agricultural specific post-secondary education
Excellent communication, customer service and relationship building skills
Persistent, dedicated and focused on achieving customer satisfaction and organizational objectives
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong business acumen complimented by a working knowledge of financial principles related to service department operations
