Shawcor, is a leading provider of a complete range of tubular management services including web-based inventory systems, mobile and in-plant inspection, straightening and repair of drill pipe, production tubing and casing.
With a commitment to safety and quality, as a Drill Collar Operator for our branch operations in Lloydminster, AB. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the inspection unit and all additional field services, in a safe and efficient manner, while on a customers site or at our plant location.
Learn the Job Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the inspection unit according to specifications
Perform services in accordance with the Sales Order Requirement Form
Produce an accurate Inspection Report
Calibrate equipment
May require some interaction with the customers
Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner in accordance with the Companys HSE Policies
Ensure work is completed according to Company Quality Policies
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Commitment to Safety
Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn
Valid Class 5 Drivers License required (non-GDL status required)
Be punctual, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, on-call and out of town
Previous experience with material handling and movement and tool experience
Experience with BHA & Drill Pipe preferred
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
Reliable transportation to/from work
Safety tickets preferred: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CLTDG
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred)
