The Superintendent of Business Operations is an integral part of the senior leadership team and works as a member of that team to ensure that the strategic vision of the Board of Education is actualized. The Superintendent of Business Operations has supervisory responsibilities for the areas of finance, facilities and transportation.
The ideal candidate will:
Possess sound knowledge of internal and external financial budgeting and reporting standards and practices
Possess the ability to analyze current educational financial trends and provide projections and innovative solutions to financial issues
Possess an understanding of Saskatchewan education, including knowledge of the Saskatchewan Education Funding Model, educational programming and supports, legislation, and capital and operating budgets
Qualifications:
A relevant university degree, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or related field
A Master of Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
A professional accounting designation (CPA)
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in financial and operational management
Eligibility for membership in Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials (SASBO)
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
