Description

Value Village is a multi-national chain of thrift department stores with a refreshing new approach to retail that combines retail sales, local charitable organizations, and recycling.

The CDC Ambassador is responsible for creating an unforgettable donation experience.

The CDC Ambassador must be available for a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends.

*Provide customers with fast, friendly, and helpful service.
*Answer customers questions or takes the responsibility to find answers for customers.
*Make eye contact, smile, and proactively greet and assist customers on the sales floor.
*Acknowledge and greet donors in a friendly, welcoming manner; assist customers with donated merchandise, including unloading donations from vehicles; treat donated items respectfully; tactfully turn away product we do not accept and offers alternative donation location information; communicate the companys non-profit relationship; and thank the donor on behalf of the non-profit.
*Invite donors to come back again and to encourage their family and friends to do the same.
*Prepare the donation receiving area prior to store opening, which includes, but is not limited to preparing donation receiving carts, setting up signage/directional material, putting out air bell, and stocking receiving area with supplies.
*At closing, bring in all signage/directional material and air bell, clear receiving area of clutter, garbage, and donations.
*Stack donation boxes and bags safely and efficiently.
*At the end of the day and during the day when carts become full, accurately count donations received and label carts.
*Report any discrepancies found to the management team member.
*Maintain total cleanliness throughout the donation receiving area and register-area donation bin.
