Job Description: The Social Worker BSW will be accountable for the provision of assessment, treatment, referral and case management of individuals, couples, groups and families who experience mental health problems and/or addictions problems and who are clients of the KidsFirst program.

Provide professional consultation and collaborative support as a member of the KidsFirst interdisciplinary staff team.

Offer counseling services in non-traditional settings with flexible work hours.

Engage families in a variety of ways using creative outreach and community development activities.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Bachelor Degree in Psychology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting
Demonstrate responsible decision making through the application of knowledge, critical thinking and sound clinical, legal and ethical practice
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Sound knowledge of the principles, practice and ethics used within adult and child and youth mental health positions
Understanding of clinical theory, best practice, and experience in working with adult and/or child and youth mental health populations
Assessment of emotionally disordered children and youth and their families
Ability to make appropriate clinical judgments regarding client care
