Description

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Systems and Technology, the Manager of IT Operations is responsible for the day-to-day IT operations at SaskGaming. This includes responsibility for IT Infrastructure, Technical Architecture, Service Desk, Application Support, and participating in the planning and execution of the overarching corporate technology strategy and roadmap.

Primarily, the Manager of IT Operations:
Leads the planning, implementation and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including technical architecture, IT security, and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Manages vendor issues related to IT operations including application support, hardware support, and managed hosting.

Has oversight for the IT Service Desk operations, supporting approximately 800 users located at two sites, Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw, including application and infrastructure support.

Leads a team of IT professionals and effectively allocates resources to support the corporations Technology Program.

Supports the IT project delivery team to implement new business solutions and upgrade existing technologies.

Facilitates the purchase, acquisition, and inventory of software, hardware and other IT assets.

Our ideal candidate will have a Computer Science or related degree, and a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years directly related work experience, including the development and improvements for the overall technical architecture and infrastructure. Managing an enterprise level IT environment consisting of a Microsoft platform (Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, O365, SCCM, etc.) and Cisco networks, in addition to systems management, cloud computing and hosted infrastructure, would be preferred.  

Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, PMP, and ITIL/ITSM would also be preferred. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
