Description

The RM of Buckland No. 491 is looking for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full time position from May to August 31 with the potential to continue part time through the rest of the year.  Preference will be given to those with proven background in computer applications, accounting and administrative practices. Wage will be negotiated based on experience and qualification.

Duties will include:
-Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
-Handle cash such as receipting, and balancing and bank deposits.
-Receive incoming mail, email, faxes, courier packages and distribute appropriately.
-Perform a variety of clerical tasks.
-Maintain appropriate filing systems.
-Assist with records retention maintenance.
-Prepare correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
-Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:
-Ability to interact effectively with the general public.
-Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
-Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular).
-Excellent time management & organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
-Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
-Demonstrate initiative, reliability, flexibility, efficiency, and good judgment.
-Previous experience in a professional office environment.
