Description

Discovery Motorsports Saskatoon is the only store in SK to carry the full-line of Polaris products including Indian Motorcycles, Victory parts, Slingshots, snowmobiles, quads and side-by-sides.

The Parts Person is responsible for servicing customers on the front counter and over the phone as well as providing parts to the mechanics in the shop.

Partsperson Job Duties:
Unload, receive and store incoming parts and other materials.
Source and pricing of parts.
Place inventory stock orders as required.
Accurately and completely document and report all sold, received, inventory and stock information.
Read catalogs and computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
Determine replacement parts required, according to inspection of old parts, customer request, or customers descriptions of malfunctions.
Take parts orders from walk in and telephone customers.
Fill customer orders from stock.
Prepare sales slips.
Assure that the correct part numbers are supplied for the specific model of the vehicle involved.
Determine if the customer has ordered enough parts to perform the repairs adequately and make suggestions for related or additional parts, if it is required to finish the job completely.
Receive payment.
Take inventory of stock.
Advise customers on substitutions or modifications of parts when identical replacements are not available.
Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines.
Demonstrate parts to customers and explain the functioning of the parts if required.
Place new merchandise on display; including seasonal change overs in the Show Rooms.
General overall care & organization of the parts room.
Greet customers immediately in a courteous manner.
Assist Service Department with Customer Drop Off, Pick Up and collection of payment for Repair Orders.
Assist in inventory counts.
