TW Commodities a division of ETG Commodities Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrates sound decision-making aptitude and delivery of customer service excellence. They will be responsible for the maintenance of our facility, including the following:
Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access and to remove defective parts.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Monitor and track the performance of Plant equipment and new installations.
Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant and offices.
Weld and employ basic shop floor skills (drill, press, grinder and other metalworking tools).
Improve and enhance machinery in operation process to be efficient and productive.
Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
Provide regular reporting to senior management on operational issues.
To be on call to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Work in compliance with TW Commodities Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
Employment Requirements:
Prior experience in processing plant equipment preferred or 5 years of working experience in mechanic roles.
Prior experience in welding, motors and electrical.
Able to perform at a high level in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to perform multitasks.
Strong Sense of initiative and self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team.
