The Telecom Project Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, providing knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions, and providing detailed reports so the branch managers, sales departments and business development managers can make decisions that will enhance profitability and growth.

Responsibilities :

*Collaborate with local branch managers, sales departments and business development managers to understand business needs
*Establish best in class tools for bidding and estimating new telecommunications jobs in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba
*Review bid requirements for projects, ensuring all information is recorded in the company ERP system
*Prepare estimates for telecommunications design and build jobs, and submit bids in a timely manner
*Coordinate with both vendors and suppliers to obtain all material and labour quotes as they pertain to the project
*Track all successes and losses of bids, profitability of jobs, and analyze areas for improvement
*Prepare bid packages and responses for RFPs and RFQs

Requirements :

*A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar position
*Degree or Diploma is an asset
*Prior experience preparing bid packages for telecommunications jobs
*Working knowledge of telecommunications technology
*Demonstrated ability to work remotely from management team
*Occasional travel will be required for customer site walks
