To host and facilitate group and educational presentations in the community.
This will involve Thursday evenings for 2 to 3 hours and may expand into more for the right person.
The facilitator will plan a social meeting for brain injury survivors once a month and make all arrangements .
Qualifications:
Ideally, the candidate would be a Registered Social Worker but others will be considered.
Experience facilitating challenging and diverse groups on topics such as; anger management, stress management, life skills etc. or comparable experience in education.
Must have the ability and experience in facilitating and supervising support groups .
Must have demonstrated the ability to work with people who have disabilities, be able to work independently, and to take initiative.
Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in the English Language.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the SK Health confidentiality regulations.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Those familiar with brain injury will be preferred.
CPR/1st Aid is desirable.
Criminal record check is required.
