EXPERIENCED BRAKE OPERATOR

Our Brake Operators are responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of the Amada CNC Brake, LVD Brake and the Accupress Brake in accordance with blueprints, drawings and / or verbal instructions.  Responsibilities also involve working with other plant machinery and power tools (i.e. tube bender).

Your Objective:

Responsible to set-up, program and operate CNC and non CNC Controlled Brakes with minimal supervision
Check production product & material to ensure compliance with tolerance/quality standards
Utilize required measuring instruments - tape measure, micrometer
Read blueprints and production drawings
Recognize and provide recommendations for process improvements
Success Requires:

A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
2 to 3 years' related brake operator experience; CNC experience is a requirement
Experience with LVD Brakes a significant asset
Trades courses, certificate or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is a significant asset.
Knowledge of common types of metals and lean manufacturing
Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and diagrams
Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Forklift and Crane experience is an asset
Your Benefits:

Earn between $18 and $20 per hour based on quality inspecting experience
Health and Dental Benefits (60% coverage after 3 months which increases to 90% after 1 year)

Only a 4 day work week (Monday to Thursday)
