Facility: MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT
Job Description: Provides mental health and addictions assessment and treatment to individuals, groups and families in Assiniboia outpatient clinic.  
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, Chemical Dependency Studies, Psychometrician or Education
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Experience
previous experience in mental health and addictions is an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings/weekend as required
Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement and ethical behaviour in the provision of counselling services and other areas of practice
A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients, utilizing sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity and responsibility
Ability to administer and interpret various scales to determine a clients mental status.
Ability to collect, record and report comprehensive client information accurately in verbal, written and electronic formats in accordance with professional standards and guidelines
Ability to deal with life-threatening situations, including suicide
Ability to administer chemical dependency screening and assessment tools
