Job Description: The psychologist will be responsible for the provision of services to adults who are experiencing significant distress or dysfunction related to mental disorder, trauma, cumulative stress or problems in living. Clinical services will include psychological assessments including neurological testing, diagnostic services and treatment which will be provided in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. The psychologist may be asked to work collaboratively with more than one program area.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced organizational skills
Advanced counseling skills

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF ADULT CLIENTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR ADDICTIONS ISSUES. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF VARIOUS MENTAL DISORDERS, THEIR ETIOLOGY AND APPROACHES TO INTERVENTION. PREFERRED INTEREST AND EXPERIENCE IN THE AREA OF EATING DISORDERS.
