Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: As a member of a multi-disciplinary team within adult services, the incumbent will provide clinical counseling services to individuals who are experiencing distress or dysfunction related to mental and/or substance abuse disorder, trauma, cumulative stress or problems in living.  The position may require working with clients on a drop in basis, periodically, the social worker also assists with program planning and may participate in interagency committee work, community development, and/or clinical supervision of practicum students
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Ability to conduct a mental health assessment of a client including obtaining collateral information from caregivers and families.
Experience
1 year post Masters of Social Work experience, preferably in a mental health setting required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced interpersonal skills
Knowledge of community development
Other Information

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Experience and training using PCOMS would be an asset.
Expected Start Date: June 1, 2018
Expected Up To Date: February 1, 2019
FTE: 0.82

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
In a 6 week rotation: 23 shifts
