Description

General Manager, Yorkton RawTec Maulers AAA Midget Hockey Club.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall mgmt of Hockey Operations.
Leading, evaluating, providing direction for coaching & scouting staff.
Assisting with scouting evaluations of players and recruiting based on findings.
Picking team annually in conjunction with coaching and scouting staff.
Liaising between parents and Hockey Ops.
Liaising between Hockey Ops and Board of Directors.
Organizing annual Spring and Fall Camps and assisting in evaluations / player meetings.
Leading strategic planning of season schedule at League scheduling meeting.
Attending all league meetings.
Organizing logistics for team travel, including booking hotel rooms and meals.
Working with Executive to prepare and execute on annual budget.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, while being able to work within, and lead within, a team environment. The General Manager will lead with honesty and integrity and will put a premium on both player and personal development for all members of the team.
The successful applicant will possess excellent hockey knowledge and strong relationships throughout the hockey landscape. Previous coaching, scouting or managing experience is an asset.
Mandatory Hockey Canada Courses are a requirement.
