Description

Northlands College is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage our Student Affairs Department. Reporting to the Vice President responsible for Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Manager is primarily responsible for helping to oversee non-academic aspects related to the lives of our students and potential students including, but not limited to, career counseling, student housing, and financial assistance.  

The Student Affairs Manager is also responsible for aiding with the overseeing of admissions, scholarships and registrar services. This position may also aid in the management of recruitment, retention, marketing, public relations, and community engagement.

The qualifications for this position typically include: a Bachelor's Degree in a Humanities or Education-related field and five (5) years of progressive related administrative and managerial experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting. The successful candidate must possess a valid drivers license and be willing to travel, including overnight stays, air travel and travel on gravel roads in all weather conditions.  A Master's Degree is an asset.    

The successful candidate will have effective verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of organizational and leadership ability. In addition, interpersonal, conceptual, analytical, supervisory and team building skills will be key requirements for the position. The Student Affairs Manager will be an effective decision maker who works well with a diverse range of stakeholders. A thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous cultures is a definite asset.
