Oversee the Social Assistance Program on behalf of the community. Strategically plan, acquisition of funds, allocation & monitoring for the CTK Social Developoment Program on the First Nation. Ensure the compliance of S/A procedures & monitor the expenses incurred by CTK in accordance with provincial & federal policies. May oversee the National Child Benefit Reinvestment. Enforce & encourage S/A recipients compliance with legislation, procedures & policies. Required to promptly provide monthly & annual reports & meet deadlines for officials. Consult with the INAC budget center. Report direclty to the Director of Operations. Plan & implement consistent approaches to community program reviews, which include developing an action plan to address identified deficiencies, develop evaluation criteria, performance indicators & related processes for the S/A Program. Develop & interpret policies & provide support to colleagues. Determine & establish S/A unit goals & objectives, prioriites & timeframes & provide direction, guidance & feedback to staff, conducting performance evaluations, approving work plans, developing training plans & carrying out with disciplinary action of staff as required & in consultation with Director of Operations & Human Resources. Qualifications: - Preferred Business or Social Work Degree or alternative Degree/Certificate in related field and 2-3 years of work specific experience; supervisory skills, initiative, analytical thinking skills, teamwork & cooperation skills, interpersonal skills (tact, judgement and initiative) & manners to respond to inquiries & promote good relationships with Chief, Council, CTK community members & public; strong computer skills; proficient spoken & written English & preferred Nakota language dialect. Punctual, meticulous & reliable. Possess good understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, roles & responsibilites of Chief & Council Adhere to relevant acts, policies, procedures, bylaws & legislation |
