Duties: Reporting to the Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and administrating the HD Management Inc. Health and Safety policies in conjunction with the Mosaic Health and Safety programs. This position will be required to provide leadership, subject matter expertise and managerial support to develop and maintain all aspects of health and safety to the Company. Qualifications: Completion of a relevant Health and Safety program supplemented with extensive related experience. Preference will be given to those that are a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CSRP) and/or Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO). An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. Other qualifications include: Thorough knowledge of applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Acts and Regulations; Advanced experience/knowledge of safety practices, continuous improvements and industry standards; Basic knowledge of process improvement tools or initiatives such as, but not limited to: 5S, Lean Management, and Six Sigma; Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in facilitating meetings and presentations, negotiating with individuals and able to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner; Working knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe  and photograph software; and proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct teams to reach desired results.
