	Job Title:	Outside Plant Designer - Regina, SK

	Details:	Our Regina, SK based client is looking for an OSP DESIGNER for a 1 year extendable contract in Regina, SK The scope of work will include working knowledge and experience in Outside Plant Design. This work includes but not limited to the following: Design, provision, document, and direct Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable (UG, Aerial, Buried) and manhole and conduit design. Completes designs in accordance to Clients Specifications and guidelines.   Works with outside agencies to obtains right-of-way approvals and coordinate projects with other utilities. Create work orders through a web based Clients workflow system For all new jobs, create a new project network and activity number in SAP. Delegates and assures that all Crossing agreement requests are allocated and response acquired. This will include Railway, Highway, pipeline, environmental, heritage, and other crossings as required.      SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:   Technical Institute Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent Five years experience in the Telecommunications Industry Subject matter expert of all technical aspects of outside plant facilities and transport equipment associated work such as cable sizing, cable counts, cable records, permitting for right of ways and easements, fiber optic systems. General knowledge of telecommunications network design principals and processes. Working knowledge of personal computers and various Software applications. (CircuitVision, MicroStation,  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GIS) Through knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, etc) Joint use experience is an asset. Knowledge and Experience in Outside Plant Design and Fiber To The Premise (FTTP) Design.   Ability to plan, organize and coordinate in a self directed and team environment. Special consideration will be given to those with experience designing in Telcordia Network Engineer suite. Must have a valid Drivers License.
