Description

The Metis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc., (MACSI),is a non-profit community based provincial organization that has a long history of serving the people of Saskatchewan for over 50 years. MACSI operates three facilities throughout the province of Saskatchewan with locations in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Regina.
Maintenance Worker of MACSI will be responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of an addictions treatment facility and its grounds. The Maintenance Worker plays an important role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and effective centre for both our clients and staff. A valid Saskatchewan Driver's License is a must.
Responsibilities include:
1.Performance of minor repair and preventative maintenance throughout the building and its equipment
2.Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of the building to ensure a safe and healthy workplace
3.Responsible for ensuring the company van is regularly fueled, cleaned, tidied, and maintained either internally or through the organizations vehicle maintenance provider
4.Activities include: cleaning washrooms and ensuring their necessities are adequately stocked, sweeping and mopping of the facility's general and common areas, emptying and removing any garbage/recycling bins that are full, and also any tasks assigned that are deemed appropriate to the addictions centre
5.General building up-keep such as painting and touch-up work
6.Responsible for the maintenance of the centre's grounds and yard. This includes snow shovelling, salting sidewalks and stairs, as well as watering and mowing lawns
7.The arrangement of external trades persons for duties that cannot be completed or repaired by internal maintenance. These include plumbers, electricians, etc.
8.May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, or equipment if necessary to fulfill the requirements of the addictions centre
9.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners when cleaning the facility
