Job Description: THE INCUMBENT WILL BE PART OF AN INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM PROVIDING SERVICES TO CLIENTS RECEIVING TREATMENT IN THE REHABILITATION PROGRAM AT SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL.  THE PROGRAM PROVIDES BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT SERVICES.  THE  PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE PROGRAM IS TO FACILITATE OPTIMAL INDEPENDENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY.  THE CLIENTS PRIMARILY PRESENT WITH NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS. THE INCUMBENT WILL  BE A PH. D. PSYCHOLOGIST WITH SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND /OR EXPERIENCE IN THE AREAS OF ASSESSING, TREATING AND PROVIDING CONSULTATION REGARDING THE PSYCHOSOCIAL FACTORS RELATED TO PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE DISABILITY. EXPERIENCE  IN BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES AND PAIN MANAGEMENT IS AN ASSET. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE A MEMBER OF THE BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT TEAM WITHIN THE CONTINUING CARE, SASKATOON URBAN PORTFOLIO, AND WILL RECEIVE CLINICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT THROUGH THIS TEAM. THIS POSITION REPORTS TO THE REHABILITATION CENTRE MANAGER OF INTERPROFESSIONAL PRACTICE.
Required Qualifications

PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
