Description

Ile-a-la Crosse School Division is looking for a High School Principal in the beautiful northern community of Ile-a-la Crosse, Saskatchewan. The high school consist of approximately 170 students and is a Following their Voices school. The Principal is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective school that is rooted in the well-being and learning needs of the students with the integration of culture and language of the community. The Principal works closely with the elementary school administrators and responds to division requests as required. The High School Principal is responsible for all aspects of school operations including staff, students, fiscal resources, and the facility.

Key Responsibilities
1. The Principal articulates a clear vision of the future and establishes clear end goals that are premised on improving student success and well-being. This vision is aligned through all levels of the organization, from the Ministry, to the Division, to the school.
2. The Principal focuses on improving student learning and achievement by implementing effective teacher support and practices to ensure that student learning is optimized in each classroom
3. The Principal encourages and models professional development and growth based on educational research, premised on qualitative and quantitative school and division data.
4. The Principal creates and maintains an efficient, safe, caring, and accepting school environment.
5. The Principal displays respect and integrity in interactions with all members of the school community and this includes elders and traditional knowledge keepers.
6. The Principal maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders in the educational community.
