Description

The Lighthouse Serving the Battlefords is an emergency shelter located at 962 - 102nd St. North Battleford. Visit our website at www.lighthousenorthbattleford.org.

We are currently seeking casual staff to begin immediately. Coverage is needed for evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts. Shifts are 8 hours in length.

Support Workers provide critical supports and services to individuals residing at The Lighthouse Serving the Battlefords emergency shelters. The goal is to aid the clients in dealing with issues and connecting them with appropriate services for assistance when needed.

Working as part of a team, support workers supervise the shelters and facilities to maintain safe and comfortable working environment for all clients; liaise with other community resources and agencies; act as first point of contact for Lighthouse services; perform intake for those coming into the shelters; and perform laundry and cleaning duties for emergency shelter; includes gathering, washing, and drying laundry, and stacking mats.
