SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified motivated individual to join our Engineering team. The Engineer, Automation provides engineering services to support the TransGas automation facilities including central plant facility automation, computer facilities, communications systems and remote field control. The Engineer supports the implementation of highly technical computer, control, instrument and communications facilities for the safe, efficient and economical control of the pipeline system. This includes the provision of technical services for engineering activities or project requirements, ensuring sound application of engineering and industry practices, technological advancements; and identification and recommendation of effective business solutions to support departmental and Corporate objectives.
Qualified applicants will possess
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics Systems is preferred).
- Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
- Experience as required to obtain Professional Engineer Designation (preferably in electrical or electronic systems). Engineering experience related to the automation of pipeline and compression facilities in the oil and gas industry would be an asset.
- Limited Member Engineering Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan, may be considered if applicable to the position requirements.
Additional Information
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
