Facility: HERBERT & DISTRICT INTEGRATED HEALTH FACILITY
Job Description: Reporting to the Program Manager, the Unit Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations and patient flow of the Unit.  He/She will facilitate the use of critical thinking skills by the RN and LPN staff as they are fostered to work to their full scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
Minimum 3 years relevant Acute Care Nursing experience
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Change management skills
Intermediate computer skills
Leadership skills

Preference will be given to those applicants with a certificate or diploma in Gerontology.  The successful candidate is responsible to obtain and provide an original Criminal Record Check (CRC) & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from their local police service, RCMP or previous country/countries of residence that is dated within the past six (6) months that is satisfactory to the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Internal candidates may be required to provide a CRC & VSC during recruitment and selection process.

FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
352.00 hours per 12 week rotation: 44 shifts of 8.00 hours
