Job Description: The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is accountable for providing clinical education, consultation and participation in policy/development at site-specific and regional levels in the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The CNE will collaborate with Directors, Managers, Point-of-Care staff and other CNEs in the assessment of learning needs, delivery of a regional nursing orientation and provision of specific education/in-services.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
-Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
-Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
-Current CPR certification: Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada - Health Care Provider Level C
-Maintains certification and instructor certification for education/training programs identified by the facility/region as priority:
Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Trauma Nursing Core Course
Neonatal Resuscitative Program Instructor
Gentle Persuasive Approaches

-Valid drivers license required

-Minimum 3 years recent full-time clinical experience in a primary CNE area of practice (e.g. acute clinical, long-term care, mental health) or, as relevant, a variety of nursing settings and/or patient/family service areas
-Minimum 1 year experience in patient/family/professional education
-Minimum 1 year experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment, planning, program design, implementation and evaluation
-Minimum 1 year in program
