Description

As the Technical Assistant, Regional Systems, you will assist with operation and maintenance work within an assigned regional water and wastewater system.  The regional water and wastewater system may include SaskWater or client owned water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water distribution/transmission and wastewater collection.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Regional Systems, performs operational duties including required laboratory and field testing, water and wastewater sampling, treatment process monitoring optimization and adjustments, facility inspections maintenance and equipment repairs and janitorial duties throughout regional water and wastewater systems.  Collects and records applicable data and data compilation and performs calibration, operation and maintenance of on-line analyzing, chemical feed and laboratory equipment.

To qualify, you will be enrolled in and have completed a minimum of two semesters of the Water Resources Engineering Technology or similar engineering technology program.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Fit for Duty test.  You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence is required.
