The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Information Technology Division, is seeking an experienced IT professional with strong technical and leaderships skills to join the team as the Director, Information Security. This position will work in a highly-collaborative manner to develop government-wide Information Security policies, investments and frameworks ensuring alignment between security and business strategy.
This position will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of corporate information security policies standards and guidelines in alignment with the information security management strategy; planning, implementing, monitoring and enforcing information security initiatives to ensure that Government of Saskatchewans information assets are protected; providing information security governance through the systematic implementation of an information Security Roadmap; assisting the Chief Information Security Officer(CISO) in leading enterprise wide information security throughout the Government of Saskatchewan; and developing, communicating and monitoring enterprise security plans and security service performance including the responsibility for an awareness and education campaign describing the importance and commitment of IT security in the enterprise.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a degree in computer science or a related discipline, supplemented with extensive cybersecurity experience with progressive experience across a wide range of security disciplines.
A designation as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or another related designation is required.
