Brief description

Reporting to the Manager of Facility & Infrastructure for the Buffalo Narrows Economic Development Corporation (BNEDC), the position of Property Maintenance Working Supervisor consists of leading the efforts to ensure the highest level of upkeep and maintenance of all BNEDC buildings and other properties as well as the maintenance department shop/office and equipment.  The Property Maintenance Working Supervisor will supervise all maintenance workers to ensure accountability and the coordination of activities for the successful completion of duties. The working supervisor will work with the manager to ensure that the department is appropriately trained. The working supervisor will possess an impeccable work ethic, model integrity in the workplace, have a strong customer service orientation, enjoys solving problems, is committed to completing tasks thoroughly, and takes pride in presenting well cared for properties.

Qualifications and requirements

A high school diploma; certificate or diploma from a technical institute or relevant trade certification(s); professional certifications;
Proven experience in maintenance or in a similar role;
Strong technical knowledge of building systems such as electrical, heating, etc.;
Ability to interpret blueprints and working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts;
Ability to work effectively with tenants, vendors and contractors;
Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to manage ones own time and the time of others;
Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, and complete tasks quickly and proficiently and under pressure;
High level of analytical skills and ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in various settings;
Physical ability to responsibly work in a variety of conditions (at times strenuous) while maintaining safety standards;
Valid Drivers License.
