Job Description: This position works in an inter-disciplinary manner and provides technical consultation, promotion, education, prevention, liaison and other services as required to the program managers and dental health teams to develop and enhance the comprehensive northern oral health program for the former Mamawetan Churchill River and former Keewatin Yatth Health Regions and The Athabasca Health Authority.

This position is responsible for assuming a leadership role in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and will be responsible for ensuring that the programs are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.

This position is responsible for assuming a leadership / consultative role in the development of a comprehensive north-wide oral health strategy that is inclusive of both First Nations and non-Indigenous residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Dental therapist diploma
Dental hygiene diploma
Managerial development courses
Current licensing with Saskatchewan Dental Therapists and Hygiene Associations
Current drivers license

Experience:
Three years public dental health experience
Three years clinical experience and two years experience in developing and delivering health information, health promotion and adult educational materials
At least two years health promotion knowledge and experience which may be in conjunction with dental health experience
OR a suitable combination of oral health education and experience
Valid drivers license

Membership
Canadian Public Health Dentistry Association (not a necessary requirement)
