Description

Active Podiatry & Orthotics is in need of a fabulous clinical assistant to help the Podiatrist/ Foot Specialist with day to day activities and clinical treatments. You must be a dynamic, friendly, caring, multi-task with the abilities to handle your time with precision. You must be energetic and physically capable of working up to 9hours a day. Familiarity with clinical settings and or human anatomy is an asset but we will also train. You must not mind working with other people's feet and should consider it a privilege to help people with foot problems such as ingrown and fungal nails, warts, infections, diabetes, vascular issues, bunions etc.

Responsibilities Include:
- Keep treatment rooms stocked with all necessary supplies and check them each day to make sure
- Greet all patients warmly by correct name and make them feel at ease
- Assist Podiatrist in maintaining medical records, and performing treatments such as laser and shockwave
treatments
- Assist Podiatrist with nail and skin surgical procedures
- Assist with proper instrument sterilization and cleaning up the treatment rooms
- Ordering supplies and equipment from designated vendors
- Follow infection control procedures and keep a log
- Aid in casting for orthotics, shoe fitting and compression stocking fittings
- Maintain yearly maintenance on equipment
- Provide patient education
- Assist in marketing, data and feedback collection from patients
- Care calls the next day to new patients/ after a surgical procedure
- Work on other projects as directed by the Podiatrist and perform other duties as directed
Reports to the Podiatrist. This position requires some travel and a reliable means of transportation available all
the time. Wages offered are $16/hour, training provided at $14/hour.
We do require a vulnerable check from police and references.
