Water Security Agency (WSA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Communications Officer. This position is temporary until May 15, 2022 with possible extension of another year.
Reporting to the Manager, Communications, an employee in this job will be responsible for developing digital communications content, writing documents, and providing communications support. This role should balance a strong understanding of WSAs strategic priorities and water management communication needs, with a record of experience and tactical execution with communication plans and approaches.
This position is responsible to research and prepare written content including speeches, news releases, corporate emails, presentations, event plans, briefing materials, and correspondence to advance communication objectives with internal and external stakeholders. As well as provide communication guidance and develop communications plans for WSA initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Journalism, Interactive Media, English, Business or equivalent and 3 years of experience in managing digital communications, preparing videos, presentations, infographics and tools for internal and external use, and producing standard communications content (news releases, speeches, correspondence, briefing notes) as well as professional editing skills and understanding accepted professional norms (CP style).
