Description

The Buffalo Narrows Economic Development Corporation (BNEDC) is seeking to hire an experienced Executive Secretary to provide administrative support to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate would be someone with a strong customer service orientation, the ability to problem solve and work under tight deadlines, takes pride in providing high level professional service while maintaining confidentiality and integrity, and is a positive contributor to the culture of the workplace.

Position Summary:
The position consists of providing high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. The primary responsibility of the Executive Secretary is to provide administrative support to the CEO as well as acting as the secretary to the Board of Directors.  Primary responsibilities as the secretary to the Board include the coordination of all meetings and record keeping of all board activities.

Knowledge Skills and Ability:
A minimum requirement of an certificate or diploma in Office Administration/ Executive Assistant/ Business Administration or a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field;
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as an Executive Secretary/Executive Assistant or in Office Administration or in a comparable professional role;
Must have the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information;
Must have excellent business English reading and comprehension skills and professional business level writing capabilities;
Excellent time management skills and the ability to problem solve and adapt to the needs of a changing environment as needed
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, Adobe Suite, Social Media platforms

Hours: 24-30 hours per week
