We are looking for a mature individual to be the part-time manager of the museum. Supervisory experience is preferred. Please note the hours are daytime and are very flexible.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Assume responsibility for Museums artifact and archival collections including a working knowledge of all Museum policies and procedures.
Train, oversee and schedule the summer student staff and co-ordinate the cataloguing of new artifacts, create displays, organize and promote collections to expand community interest.
To arrange, promote and conduct museum tours and assist with museum events as required.
Attend board meeting(s) as requested.
Excellent communication skills required.
Previous museum or supervisory experience preferred.
this position will be approximately 10 hours per week. This may increase if funding is available.
